Mr. Hernandez serves as Vice President of Geology at Silver Hill III.  Prior to joining Silver Hill in 2020, he was a founding member and the Vice President of Geoscience at Covey Park Energy where he managed the geoscience staff and helped evaluate close to 200 acquisition opportunities, five of which were ultimately consummated representing over $1.5 billion of total transaction value within the Haynesville Shale. 

  

Mr. Hernandez also served in several senior and regional-level geoscience roles at Pioneer Natural Resources on the business development team as well as asset teams including the Permian Basin, Fort Worth Basin, East Texas-North Louisiana and South Texas Gulf Coast.  Prior to Pioneer, Mr. Hernandez played a variety of geoscience roles at Bass Enterprises, Apache Corporation and Samson Resources.

 

Mr. Hernandez graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology and a Master of Science degree in Petroleum Geology from Baylor University.
