Upon joining Silver Hill in 2021, Mr. Romano brought to the table 16 years of valuable experience in all phases of drilling, completing, and producing oil and gas wells across numerous basins and formations. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Production & Facilities at Ascent Energy, LLC, a Denver-based oil and gas exploration and production company focused on unconventional development in the Delaware Basin.

 

Before his time at Ascent Energy, Mr. Romano spent 8 years as a Senior Production Engineer & Manager at Matador Resources overseeing operations in the Delaware Basin, Eagle Ford, and Haynesville shales, 4 years as a Business Development Manager and Completions Engineering Consultant with StrataGen Engineering performing detailed reservoir studies, recompletion campaigns in mature vertical assets, and full-field hydraulic fracture design and on-site stimulation, and 4 years operating in the Gulf of Mexico and Permian Basin with Pathfinder Energy Services.

 

Mr. Romano earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Marietta College where he played NCAA lacrosse and a Master of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from Texas Tech University.  He is also a long-standing member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and has published multiple Society of Petroleum Engineering papers throughout his career.
